Today's Poem

cherries

(for Pablo Neruda)

suck small pit
juice inside
flower, fruit
flesh swollen
around sweet
exactly to fit
your mouth

O! red
burst of beauty

fills
summer
full

Pablo Neruda's spirit is enjoying immensly your beautiful and sensuous words.

The following poem was inspired by words from Pablo Neruda.

of the earth

I am of the earth
with words I sing

praise for nature
life and limb

trees and leaves
oceans and gulls

purity of sound
music from the heavens

enchanting, invigorating
flashes of light

falling rain
filling chalices

warmth, comfort
dark nights

snows cold
winds unabating

depths of waters
images present

heights of space
images lost

of the earth
love and life
